Cabinet to meet in Thai Far South late November

BANGKOK, November 8 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will lead his Cabinet members to meet people in the Thai Far South and hold a meeting there late this month. Government Spokesman Lieutenant Sansern Kaewkamnerd told journalists that the Thai Cabinet, at its weekly meeting at Government House in Bangkok on November 7, endorsed a plan on holding its next mobile meeting in Pattani and and Songkhla Provinces during November 27-28. The spokesman said that the prime minister is scheduled to arrive in Pattani in the morning of November 27 and to first lead his Cabinet members to follow up progress on the government's development of the economic triangle project on security, prosperity and sustainability, as well as public security measures in the Thai Far South. The spokesman stated that the prime minister and his Cabinet members will then travel to nearby Songkhla Province, where they are scheduled to hold a meeting with governors of Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani and Songkhla Provinces in the evening. According to the spokesman, the prime minister will chair a mobile Cabinet meeting in Songkhla on November 28, when the Thai premier will take the opportunity to also meet local people in the morning and in the evening.
