Canadian technology is suggested for capital city re-planning

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar Mayor E.Bat-Uul October 8 received a delegation of Canadian Exp, a consulting firm that provides building, environment, and infrastructure engineering, program and project management and sustainability services. The guests recommended that the UB city exploits the Canadian technology in its re-planning and upgrading engineering systems. "This hi tech uses microorganism for removal of contaminants from waste water management facilities, and also for the soil remediation," the delegation said. "The city needs to tackle the issues of reducing the overload of sewage treatment and of removing soil pollution as soon as possible. As Mongolia has set a legal environment to observe the Canadian standards, we can test this technology here, if it proves to be effective, we are ready to cooperate," the Mayor said. The visitors also suggested a house-building technology with noise and heat insulations. Introducing this technology to Ulaanbaatar, the city residents may get own Canadian-style houses in short time, "our company has already begun erecting pilot houses in Mongolia," they said and invited Mr Bat-Uul to see them.
