Candidate for prime minister presents candidates for Georgia’s new Cabinet of Ministers

Tbilisi, Georgia, Nov. 18 By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: Irakli Garibashvili, who was presented to the post of Georgia's Prime Minister, introduced the candidates for his government on Nov. 18. The new Cabinet of Ministers must be approved by the parliament of Georgia, on Nov. 20. There are 20 ministers in the new government. The posts are as follows: Minister of Defense - Irakli Alasania; Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Deputy Prime Minister - Kakha Kaladze; Minister of Internal Affairs - Alexander Chikaidze; Minister of Justice - Tea Tsulukiani; Minister of Foreign Affairs - Maia Panjikidze; Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs - David Sergeenko; Minister of Finance - Nodar Khaduri; Minister of Education and Science - Tamar Sanikidze; Minister of Agriculture - Shalva Pipia; Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development - Giorgi Kvirikashvili; Minister on Penalty Execution - Sozar Subari (Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia); Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, Accommodation and Refugees - David Darakhvelidze; Minister of Environmental Protection - Khatuna Gogaladze; Minister of Culture and Monument Protection - Guram Odisharia; Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs - Levan Kipiani; State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration - Alexi Petriashvili; State Minister for Reintegration - Paata Zakareishvili; State Minister on Diaspora Issues - Kote Surguladze; Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure - David Narmania. Otar Pkhaladze was nominated to the Prosecutor General's post. According to Garibashvili, he has been working with his colleagues for a year and has made sure that these are honest and decent people. "Bidzina Ivanishvili gathered supporters and they spent 24 hours working on their posts, and they have proven that they are willing to serve their country and this is the real European government," he said. Garibashvili stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers will continue to work hard and lead the country forward. Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili has signed a decree on the presentation of Irakli Garibashvili to the parliament for approval. Tonight, the Bureau of the Georgian Parliament will adopt the agenda for consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Prime Minister by the committees.
