Capital Governor condemns terrorist mosque blast

Manama, May 24 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa condemned the terrorist blast which targeted the "Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb" mosque in Kudeih in the Qatif province in Saudi Arabia last Friday, leaving several worshippers dead and injured. The Governor extended deep condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Saudi Government and people. He denounced the cowardly terrorist attack which, he said, represents an affront to all human, religious and ethical values, targeting innocent worshippers. "The terror blast was masterminded in an attempt to undermine the national cohesion of Saudi Arabia, target its landmark achievements and erode its culture of tolerance and peaceful co-existence", he said. He expressed his confidence in the measures taken by the Saudi authorities to maintain its security and stability and protect the lives of its people, stressing their determination to track down the perpetrators of the terrorist explosion.
