Car plunges off department store’s parking in Thai Far South

SONGKHLA, THAILAND, March 3 (TNA) - Police investigators are gearing up to determine the cause of a fatal accident, in which a car plunged off a parking building of a well-known department store in Hat Yai of Songkhla Province in the Thai Far South on March 2, killing two women in the personal sedan instantly. The car was reportedly driven in reverse through a safety barrier and plunged from the third storey to the ground. Police Colonel Kittichai Sangthavorn, Superintendent of the Hat Yai Police Station, told reporters that an official investigation into the cause of Thursday night's accident has been underway. The senior police officer said, however, that it seemed that the driver was startled and sped in reverse direction and crashed into the iron bar, causing the sedan to fall from the 3A parking building. The local investigators are, meanwhile, collecting evidence to find out the exact cause of the accident. (TNA)
