Caretaker PM urged to quickly find solution to Thailand's political tension

BANGKOK, December 28 (TNA) - Thailand's Democrat Party has called for Caretaker Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to quickly find a way to solve the ongoing domestic political tension. Democrat Party deputy leader Ong-art Klampaiboon made the call at a press conference in Bangkok on Saturday, pointing out that the recent House dissolution is not the right answer for the country's current political strife, as demonstrators have continued their protests against the caretaker government, with violent clashes between them and police and over 150 casualties reported for the past two months. Meanwhile, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended the final day of the year 2013 on Friday at 1,298.71, down 6 per cent from its 2012 end.(TNA)
