"Celebration for Peace" initiative discussed

Manama, Oct.8 (BNA): A campaign sending a message of peace from Bahrain to the world could be launched in December. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received Reverend Hani Aziz of Bahrain's National Evangelical Church who submitted the proposal themed "Celebration for Peace". Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) director Mounir Bouchenaki attended the meeting. BACA President stressed Bahrain’s long-standing vocation as a land of peace and interreligious and intercultural co-existence, hailing the "Celebration for Peace" proposal, being the ultimate goal of culture and humanity. She issued directives to hold meetings and finalise the project. Reverend Aziz thanked BACA President for approving the "Celebration for Peace" initiative, stressing the importance of holding the event in an iconic historic site to reflect Bahrain's millennia-old civilizations.
