CEO of S. Africa’s Islam Television meets IRIB official

TEHRAN,May 13(MNA) – The CEO of South Africa’s Islam Television, Farhad Omar, met the director of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s Center for International Affairs, Mohammad Hosseini, in Tehran on Sunday. Omar has traveled to Iran to discuss expansion of media collaboration with Iran and hold talks with IRIB officials to help develop Islamic channels across Africa. He is due to meet IRIB directors and become more familiar with IRIB’s latest achievements. Interviews with different Iranian channels have also been planned. Islam Television (ITV) was launched in 2012 and its programs include a mix of Islamic-themed movies and lifestyle programs. It also covers news broadcasted by Iran’s English-language satellite news network Press TV.
