Chiang Mai fully-ready for mobile Cabinet meeting June 30

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, June 29 (TNA) - Thailand’s northern resort Chiang Mai Province is now fully-prepared to welcome Tuesday’s mobile Cabinet meeting. Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasartbandit confirmed his province's 100 per cent-readiness for holding the June 30 mobile Cabinet meeting on Monday. The governor told journalists that all conference and other relevant facilities, including a joint security command centre, in which military, police and civil forces work together to fully provide traffic and guarding services to Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha and all his Cabinet's members at all sites where they will stay or visit. Regarding his provincial plans to be proposed for the Cabinet's approval, the governor said they mainly include the development of local transport systems, covering provincial preparations for high-speed trains and waste water management. According to the governor, his province will also seek the Cabinet's approval of an urgent project on expanding local bike lanes, from one to 2-3 lanes, as initially endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
