Chiang Mai Night Safari welcomes new serow

CHIANG MAI, March 4 (TNA) – Chiang Mai Night Safari in Thailand’s Chiang Mai province introduced a newborn serow and invited the public to name it. Speaking during a press conference, Chiang Mai night safari’s director Sarawut Srisakuna said the baby male serow was born to a 5-year-old father and a 12-year-old mother on Jan 20. It has good health and is staying with its mom at the safari’s Savanna zone. Chiang Mai Night Safari currently has four male serows and three female ones. They are considered rare wildlife species in Thailand. The safari held a naming contest as part of its activities to welcome the new member. The public is invited to take part in the activity, which runs until March 31. The winner will receive a one-year free entry to the night safari. (TNA)
