Chief of Staff Receives Phone Calls from British Chief of Defense Staff, Turkish Chief of General Staff

Doha, January 06 (QNA) - HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem received a phone call from HE British Chief of the Defense Staff General Nick Carter. During the phone call, General Carter expressed pleasure at the success of the "Epic Skies" exercise which was held recently by pilots of the UK Royal Air Force and Qatar Amiri Air Force. General Carter congratulated HE the Chief of Staff on the success of the exercise, looking forward to meeting him soon and increasing the joint exercises between the two countries. Talks during the phone call also touched on a number of issues of mutual concern, in particular the Joint Qatar-UK Squadron, and ways of promoting them. HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem also received a phone call from HE Turkish Chief of the General Staff General Yasar Guler. During the phone call, the two sides discussed issues of joint interest and ways of enhancing them. (QNA)
