Child’s Wish pays tribute to HRH Premier

Manama, June 9 (BNA): Hundreds of children were treated this evening to a Ramadan Iftar at the InterContinental Regency Hotel in Manama. The Child’s Wish Society hosted the event with the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. The Iftar was attended by 500 children with special needs and others suffering from cancer and incurable diseases. The event, which was attended by parents, featured games, recreational activities, face-coloring, henna decorations and other leisure events. The children were also offered the Eid Al-Fitr gifts for the fourth consecutive year. Child’s Wish Society Chairperson Manal Al-Awadhi extended deepest thanks to HRH the Premier, hailing his support to charitable and voluntary work in Bahrain. She lauded HRH the Premier initiatives in support of citizens, particularly child patients, to alleviate their pain and bring happiness to their lives. She stressed the keenness of the Child’s Wish Society to hold events, functions and activities which put a smile on the faces of children, especially in Ramadan, known for deep-rooted relations which include the Iftar, souhour, Ghabga and Gergaoun. Children and parents also extended deepest thanks to HRH the Premier for his benevolent gesture during the Holy month of Ramadan, hailing his keenness to reach out to citizens of all age categories. Children Fatima Bouhamoud and Retaj Osama Adel read two poems in tribute to HRH the Premier, hailing his keenness on citizen’s wellbeing.
