Children from Mongolian province to visit Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Best twenty students from Dornogovi province are to visit Japan November 1-8, as a part of the province’s cooperation with the Japanese Shizuoka prefecture. This is the sixth student exchange program under a project of a week-long travel of one thousand students to Shizuoka. The students will take part in many cooperation activities to promote their knowledge of Japan history, traditional customs, and cultural heritages. They will also stage dance performance at the annual international Daidoge festival. During the travel, representatives of the aimag will also visit Shizuoka to attend various cooperation meetings. Last July, a governor of Shizuoka prefecture H.Kawakatsu met his counterpart P.Ganhuyag in Dornogovi to agree on a collaboration that included the above travel project.
