China Is Appreciative Of Najib's Presence At BFA

From: M Saraswathi BOAO, (Hainan, China), March 28 (Bernama) -- China’s President Xi Jinping expressed his appreciation for Najib Razak’s presence at Boao Forum for Asia 2015 (BFA) despite his busy schedule. Xi said he was touched that the Malaysian Prime Minister took the effort to come to Boao despite his daugther’s wedding reception on Saturday. “It goes to show Malaysia’s commitment in participating in the forum, as well as its commitments to the bilateral relations,” he said during the bilateral meeting with Najib here, Saturday. The bilateral meeting between both leaders is the fourth since Najib became prime minister. Xi said the bilateral relations between Beijing and Putrajaya is at the highest in the last four decades and he hoped it would continue to bring good results. The China President also took the opportunity to congratulate Najib on his daugther’s wedding. Also present during the bilateral meeting was Malaysia’s Ambassador to China Zainuddin Yahya and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister to China, Ong Ka Ting. -- BERNAMA
