China-ASEAN expo kicks off in Nanning

NANNING, Sept 11 (TNA) - Thailand is keen on improving relations with China and is ready to become a regional hub connecting to other ASEAN members, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Prachin Chantong says while attending the opening of the 13th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) on Sunday. The CAEXPO is an annual international event held to promote trade and investment under the free trade agreement between ASEAN and China. This year’s expo runs on Sept. 11-14 at Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Center in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China. Meanwhile, China’s Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli stressed that China is ready to coordinate with ASEAN members in all aspects. Also, China will push ahead with projects, including the development of Beibu Gulf ports and international high-speed rail, to connect with Southeast Asian nations. The 13th CAEXPO showcases a wide range of products, ranging from local products from 10 Southeast Asian countries, agricultural produce to innovations from China. (TNA)
