China, India Nationals Among 29 Arrested During ICA's Inland Operation

SINGAPORE, June 11 (Bernama) -- Twenty-nine people were arrested for various offences in an inland operation conducted by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) on Tuesday. In a statement Wednesday, ICA said of those picked up, 26 were immigration offenders from China and India, aged between 26 and 62. Most of them had overstayed in Singapore. As for the remaining three, one work permit holder was caught for being in possession of duty-unpaid cigarettes and two others were nabbed for suspected harbouring offences. -- BERNAMA
