CHINA TO RENDER AID OF CNY 1 MILLION TO BAYAN-ULGII AIMAG

Bayan-Ulgii /MONTSAME/ Governor of Bayan-Ulgii aimag A.Gylymkhan reported that the Government of China is to render assistance of CNY 1 million to Bayan-Ulgii aimag. Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi informed it during his meeting with governors of western aimags of Mongolia held in Uvs aimag on August 24. The assistance will be spent on developing the aimag's socio-economy and foreign relations. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar and Finance Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar from Mongolian government. The sides exchanged views on restoring meat export, increasing capacity of border checkpoints, improving operations of the checkpoints as well as developing cooperation between border regions. Governor A.Gylymkhan stressed that citizens of Bayan-Ulgii aimag used to travel to China through border crossings, including Taikeshken. Now, the citizens are traveling through Zamyn-Uud-Eren border checkpoints in recent years due to some problems, such as red tape and tax at the border crossings.
