China, Russia and India undergo key stage of economic development - Chinese foreign minister

MOCOW, April 18. /TASS/. The foreign ministers of Russia, India and China (RIC) have agreed to maintain the current dynamic of cooperation and to strengthen multilateral cooperation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday after the RIC ministerial meeting. "China, Russia and India are going through a key stage of economic development," Wang said. "The RIC format is in line with tendencies of forming a multipolar world, of democratizing international relations. Thanks to our common efforts, we will consistently improve our format," he added. The foreign minister said the ministerial meeting was "productive." "We agree that it is necessary to maintain current dynamic of cooperation, to strengthen cooperation. Russia, China and India think that in the current situation, the international community should defend the main aims and principles of UN Charter, as well as promote UN’s key role in international affairs," he noted. "It is necessary to boost improvement of global economic cooperation. We are ready to actively implement the agenda for sustainable development until 2030," Wang went on. "We agree to continue cooperation in humanitarian and economic spheres. We assign great significance to the RIC format. We are confident that using this format will facilitate its comprehensive functioning," he added. Read more
