China-Russia military cooperation stabilizes global situation - Putin

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Chinese-Russian military cooperation stabilizes the situation in the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday at a meeting with Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission Xu Qiliang. "We have noted more than once that the world is not becoming calmer, unfortunately. And joint work of the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation in all these spheres, including military, is a serious factor stabilizing the situation in the world," Putin said. Welcoming the Chinese military representative, the Russian leader said all earlier reached agreements with China, including military, are being implemented. "I find it very pleasant that all that we agree with President [Xi Jinping] about is developing, we are moving forward, including in military cooperation," Putin said. He said Russia and China are set to continue cooperation in the military sphere. "We are set for continuation of both military cooperation and our interaction in the military-technical sphere," the Russian president said. Putin recalled that the day before, on the sidelines of the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Turkey, he met with a representative delegation of China led by Chinese President Xi Jinping. "We had a substantial conversation covering the entire range of our relations," he said. Read more
