Chinese Citizen Caught Smuggling Meth

Tangerang, Banten, Jan 28 (Antara) - A Chinese citizen has been nabbed with 2,072 grams of methamphetamine worth Rp2.7 billion hidden in her undergarment, pants, and skirt. The Chinese national, known by her initials XS, was nabbed at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta airport on January 3, head of the airport's customs service Okto Irianto said here on Wednesday. According to him, XS (50) was caught during an inspection at the airport. This is 2015's first arrest by customs officers at the airport, he added. XS and the illegal drug confiscated from her have been referred to the Soekarno-Hatta police resort for further investigation. Deputy chief of the narcotics unit of the resort police Adjunct Commissioner Subekti noted he will further investigate the case to arrest those who were supposed to buy the drug from XS. "We are further investigating it because we believe there are more people involved in it such as those who have made an order," he added.
