Chinese scientists set up high-tech companies in Russia more often - minister

BEIJING, February 24. /TASS/. Young Chinese scientists are travelling to Russia to open innovation companies there increasingly more often. Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang told TASS on Wednesday that a new trend was part of the ministry’s policy to support the scientific and innovation development. "Currently quite a few young Chinese are going to Russia to develop technologies there and set up their companies. They show increased interest in Internet technologies, new materials and alternative energy sources, including the creation of electric vehicles," the minister said. "We can also see interest in technologies in environment and medicine. You have good agricultural fertilizer technologies." "Now we are implementing the relevant policies that envisages new subsidies and tax incentives for innovative Chinese companies that conduct research and development abroad," Wan Gang said.
