Cinema school for children launched in Baku

Baku, February 9, AzerTAc Baku European Lyceum together with the Japanese studio “TokyoCinema”» started a project of international children's film school “Tokyo-Baku-Cinema”. In the Nizami Cinema Center within the project the International Children's Film School “Tokyo-Baku-Cinema” was launched. The event which attended by prominent representatives of culture and art of Azerbaijan, the rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ASUCA), Professor Farah Aliyeva noted the importance of the project supported by the high school she heads. Professor Aliyeva said that the effective activities of the international children's film school opened within the project will have an important role in shaping the artistic taste and outlook of students. The teachers of ASUCA with extensive experience in the field of cinema will teach and conduct master classes in the film school. In addition, along with Azerbaijani, also foreign experts will be involved in the project. The Executive Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan Republic, honored art figure Jamil Guliyev praised the initiative to establish such a school in Azerbaijan. He noted that the cinematography is plastic arts and bringing to creative cinematography since childhood and adolescence, also new ways of thinking require a lot of effort. Guliyev wished success to the School. Director of Baku European Lyceum Zulfiyya Veysova reported that the main purpose of film-school is to increase the interest of children and adolescents to the cinema, to identify talented children. In this school, the children will learn all of the processes associated with the movie. In the future, the project will involve students of other schools, too, Veysova said. She noted that the children will be taken to the school from the first grade. Along with well-known Azerbaijani cinema artists, also Japanese experts will teach the children to love the movie. Speakers at the event also wished success to film school activities, expressed confidence that there will be educated filmmakers who will present the Azerbaijani cinema in an international scale. In the event a video of the Lyceum was shown, students listened to opinions about the movie.
