Clean-up campaign starts at Tham Luang

CHIANG RAI, July 14 (TNA) -The clean-up campaign began at surrounding areas of the Tham Luang Cave in Chiang Rai where 12 boys and their soccer coach were trapped and later rescued. Rescue mission chief, Narongsak Osotthanakorn said the two-day ‘Big Cleaning Day’ is aimed at conserving environment. All pipes and structures, built to block and divert the natural watercourses to cut the water level in the cave will be removed. The cleaning programme involves five areas at the cave entrance and the surrounding areas on the mountainsides. About 4,000 volunteers and officials have participated in the activities. (TNA)
