Cogeneration unit to be constructed in PETKIM’s field

Baku, January 28, AzerTAc Currently, PETKIM, the largest subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey Energy, meets its electricity and steam needs via natural gas. SOCAR Power undertakes the construction of a cogeneration unit (Petkojen) in PETKIM's production field, in order to decrease PETKIM's electricity and steam costs significantly by replacing natural gas with imported coal. As per the project phase, Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIA) has already been received and electricity production license is under progress.
