Cold weather in northern Thailand

BANGKOK, December 10 (TNA) - Frosts and cold weather brought on by a cold air mass have swept through parts of northern Thailand. The Ang Kang Royal Agricultural Station in Chiang Mai’s Fang district reported a minimum temperature of one degree Celsius above popular mountain tops Monday, which was the coldest level on record this year. Thick mist was observed in parts of Pai district in Mae Hong Son, where winter tourism had already begun. However, farmers in Chiang Rai also reported damage across rice fields, as more chilly weather was on the way. (TNA)
