Concert and Lecture on Croatia

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - Katara Cultural Village has hosted a concert performed by four musicians for Croatia who played absolutely fantastic pieces of chamber music in the presence of the Ambassador of Croatia Tomislav Boshnyak and a number of dignitaries and a crowd of world music fans. The concert, held on Friday evening, started with a dual playing between the piano and the violin where the band made a wonderful performance won the audience applause. This was followed by solo piano performance and then performances continued successively between the piano and the violin. In the day preceding the concert, Katara organized a lecture entitled 'Amazing Croatia', delivered by Ambassador of Croatia who said Croatia has become a strategic ally of Qatar since the visit of President of Croatia to Qatar two years ago, and his meeting with HH the Father Emir at the time, stressing the importance of strengthening trade relations and cooperation in various fields particularly the culture sector. During his lecture, which was attended by a group of international experts and a number of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions, the Croatian ambassador touched on the history of his country, it attractive geographic location and varying terrains, population and cultures.(QNA)
