Conf. reviews Iran's cultural ties with EU

TEHRAN, Dec. 16(MNA) – A conference on pathology of Iran-Europe cultural relations was held on Sunday in Tehran. Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO Mohammadreza Saeedabadi delivered a speech in the conference on pathology of Iran-Europe cultural relations. Iranian experts on European and American affairs, heads of Asia-Pacific offices, regional and research experts of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization participated in the conference and presented a pathological discussion focusing on various issues related to Iran’s cultural relations with European countries. Mohammadreza Saeedabadi announced global governance as a requirement for international policy making and stressed the significant role of culture in this regard. While discussing on the field of culture, he presented his proposals on Iran’s more effective role in cultural areas including aggregate demand for production of cultural goods, diversification of production methods as well as distribution of cultural goods and privatization of production management. He emphasized on the need for precision and clarity of Iran’s stance on Europe with respect to cultural dimensions and the priority of understanding the needs and concerns of the audiences.
