Conference of Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon Held

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The 24th Conference of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) was held at the Osaka Korean Hall of Culture in Japan on June 10. Present there were Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, and other deputies. Read out at the conference was a congratulatory message from the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to the 24th Congress of Chongryon. Pu Yong Uk made a report on the work of the executive committee of the headquarters. The reporter stressed that the Supreme Leader's congratulatory message is an immortal banner and treasured sword of victory for demonstrating the dignity of Chongryon to the whole world and leading the movement of Koreans in Japan to steady development. He called upon the deputies to fulfill their honorable mission and duty in the struggle for bringing about all-round prosperity of the patriotic movement with the strong will and firm faith that the victory in the cause of Juche and patriotic cause of Chongryon is a science and by dint of the single-hearted unity of the ranks and compatriotism. Japanese personages made solidarity addresses at the conference before congratulatory messages from institutions at all levels of Chongryon and Japanese personages were introduced. Then there were speeches. Pu Yong Uk was re-elected as chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon. A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the conference. -0-
