Congratulations from UN Secretary General to Zhaparov on assumption of Kyrgyzstan’s President

The Kyrgyz Republic is a proven and reliable partner of the UN, and I am confident that under your leadership, our cooperation will further strengthen in accordance with the Joint Statement of Intent between the UN and the Kyrgyz Republic, published in November 2020. During this time of complex global challenges, I count on your support in continuing to promote the values and ideals enshrined in the UN Charter and in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, I welcome your commitment to political, economic and social reforms that meet the needs and aspirations of all people, including women, youth and people of all nationalities.
