Continuation of bloodshed in Syria causes deep sorrow for us, says FM Davutoglu

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Friday that the continuation of bloodshed in Syria caused deep sorrow for them. Speaking at a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh after their tete-a-tete meeting in Istanbul, Davutoglu said that they wanted Syria to end the pain of the Syrian people. Today is the last chance for Syria and that involves signing the protocol proposed by the Arab League. I hope that Syria takes the necessary steps in this direction, Davutoglu stressed. "Turkey and the Arab League share an excellent coordination. There is a need for a closer relationship between Turkey and Jordan as these two countries are the neighbor of Syria. Our two countries get affected by what happens in Syria. We will continue to hold talks with Jordan," Davutoglu said. Nasser Judeh, in his part, said that they cooperated with Turkey in the light of the developments in the region. Such cooperation will continue, Judeh said. I hope Syria signs the protocol proposed by the Arab League, Judeh also said.
