Cool Japan Fund Forms Partnership with JETRO

Tokyo, March 13 (Jiji Press)--Cool Japan Fund Inc., a public-private fund helping businesses promote Japanese culture and products overseas, and the Japan External Trade Organization said Thursday that they have formed a partnership. Cool Japan Fund President Nobuyuki Ota said at a press conference that the fund will be able to announce within several months the outline of a commercial facility overseas that will serve as a sales base. The commercial facility is likely to be created in a major Southeast Asian city. With the assistance of JETRO, Cool Japan Fund plans to choose candidate sites and buildings in which to open a store. Based on the partnership, the fund will use JETRO bases abroad and its networks to research investment opportunities. JETRO will use the fund to provide businesses with funds. END
