Cooling method of farming introduced in Thai South

TRANG, April 21 (TNA) - A chicken raiser in the Thai South has overcomed summer heat and pest problems with a new cooling method of farming, which has reduced poultry diseases and deaths The farm owner, Somsak Iam-aksorn said that he has installed an air-conditioning system at his chicken farm in Trang (ตรัง) Province, after learning from losses caused by the sizzling summer heat. Somsak revealed that the new system has not only prevented pest and communicable diseases, but has also increased the number of chickens raised in his farm, measured by the ratio of chickens per a square meter from 8 to 12. According to the farm owner, the new method is worth investing, as it allows poultry farms to harvest 5-6 times a year, generating more revenues of at least five million baht a year, and the air-conditioned environ also makes chickens healthy, fully grown with higher quality.
