Correspondents of New York Times newspaper appeal to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry to visit occupied territories of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 18 /Trend, M. Aliyev/ Correspondents of the Moscow bureau of the U.S. newspaper the New York Times, Noah Snyder, Viktor Klimenko, James Hill, Ben Solomon, and David Herszenhorn have appealed to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for a visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev said at a briefing held on Wednesday. He went on to add that their appeals are being considered. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry frequently states that the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan receives appeals from various persons seeking their withdrawal from the 'black list', on which they were included because of their illegal visits to the occupied territories, Abdullayev said. He added that, these persons appealing to Azerbaijan are asking for their removal from this list and permission to visit the occupied territories. Earlier, it was reported that a delegation including officials from the State of California and members of the west wing of the Armenian National Committee of America, visited the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Los Angeles City Council member Bob Blumenfield, who is on this list, has asked the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles for permission to visit the occupied territories. Abdullayev said Azerbaijan will continue to adhere to the principal position on the issue of illegal visits to the occupied territories. Information about withdrawals from the 'black list' of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry can be obtained on the Ministry's website, Abdullayev said. Do you have any feedback?
