COUNCIL MEMBERS OF CITY DISTRICT REFUSE INCENTIVES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of the city’s Bayanzurkh district have refused the incentives they would be awarded on eve of the Naadam festival. Instead they decided to spend the money for the construction in their district, during a discussion of the budget clarification at a regular meeting on this July 10, commented D.Purevdavaa, the governor of Bayanzurkh district. Apart of the budget clarification, the meeting considered a performance of the social-economic goals for the first half year and the investments to be realized with the local development funds, he added. The idea of making such a wise and unselfish gesture belongs to the Democratic Party’s (DP) group at Bayanzurkh district. A sum of 410 million togrog will be dedicated to the district and its citizens, especially to improving the people-targeted state services and creating a civil hall at the district office, Purevdavaa said. Bayanzurkh is one of the largest districts in the capital city, with a 304 thousand population. For the time being, the district has 41 members in its council.
