Court approves arrest warrants against suspected bombers in Bangkok

BANGKOK, February 4 (TNA) - A court has approved arrest warrants against two men suspected to be bombers of two explosions at a skytrain station near upscale Siam Paragon shopping complex in the heart of Bangkok last Sunday night, as requested by police investigators. Deputy National Police Chief Police General Chakthip Chaijinda told journalists of the update on Wednesday morning, saying that close-circuit TV footage showed the two suspects before the two explosions at the BTS station in Siam Square area on February 1, 2015. Police General Chakthip stressed it is highly possible that the two suspects are bombers, as the police investigators found that the two men had arrived at Siam Paragon shopping complex by a taxi shortly before the two bomb blasts. According to the deputy national police chief, the police investigators also believe there should be others involving in the incident. The deputy national police chief pointed out a political motivation behind last Sunday night's two bomb blasts, as they were similar to those politically-motivated in two other areas in Greater Bangkok earlier.
