BANGKOK, Jan 3 (TNA) – Courts have sentenced about 4,000 people to probation during the New Year holiday and nearly 90% of them were drunk drivers. Of them 3,515 cases or 89.30% concerned drink-driving and 44 cases or 1.11% were reckless driving. The highest number of drink driving cases, 361, was reported in Surin province, followed by 288 such cases in Bangkok.
