CRIMES INCREASE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At a national level, 5,788 crimes were registered in the first quarter of 2012, reflecting an increase of 697 crimes or 13.7 percent against the previous year. This increase occurred mainly due to the increases in crime against the right of ownership (547), against the rules of safety of traffic and use of motor vehicles (74), against human life and health (or physical well-being) (73), against environmental protection rules (57) against the previous year. Due to these crimes, 1,909 people were injuries, 354 died. The number of the injured went up by 35 people, or 1.9 per cent, and the number of died increased by eight people or 2.3 per cent against the previous year. B.Khuder
