Criminal statistics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In first four months of 2014, there were 9,119 crimes reported at the national level. This means an increase of 741 crimes or 8.8 percent compared with the same period of the previous year, mainly due to the rises in crimes such as the crime against the right of ownership (386) and infliction of a bodily injury (322). As a result of the reported crimes, 3,329 have injured and 352 died. The number of persons injured increased by 478 persons or 16.8 percent, while the number of persons died went down by 16 persons or 4.3 percent from the same period of the previous year.
