Croatian Defense Minister Confirms His Country's Readiness To Provide Humanitarian, Military, Security And Medical Aid To Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA/ Croatian Defense Minister, Ante Kotromanović confirmed his country's readiness to provide humanitarian and military, medical and security aid to Iraq. According to a statement of the Ministry of Defense "the defense minister, Khaled al-Obeidi discussed with his Croatian counterpart yesterday evening relations between the two countries, especially the nature of the military and security situation in the country and the great progress made by Iraqi security forces in its war against terrorism." He added, "The Croatian side expressed full readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the fields of arming, equipping, training and exchange of security information that would speed up the elimination of terrorist gangs." Obeidi / according to the statement / confirmed that "the meeting was positive and fruitful, and will have featured implications on the nature of relations between the two countries, pointed out that Croatia expressed its readiness to provide humanitarian, military and medical aid to Iraq where this initiative is appreciated and valued by the Iraqi government in this difficult circumstance."
