Cuban top envoy calls for end of US-developed Zunzuneo network

BANGKOK, April 24 (TNA) - Cuban Ambassador to Thailand Ramirez Pena has urged the United States to stop what he called a "subversive act" through Zunzuneo, a social network launched by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2010. Speaking at a press conference in Bangkok on Thursday, Ambassador Pena said the United States was attempting to exploit social networks against Cuba, as part of a design called "soft coup”, to overthrow opponent governments without employing any military force. The Cuban top envoy claimed that the US move violates both international laws and individual countries' laws. Thursday’s press briefing, attended by members of the foreign and Thai press, was held at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand.(TNA)
