Culture Festival of Iranian Tribes opens in Gorgan

TEHRAN,Oct.2(MNA) – The seventh edition of the Culture Festival of Iranian Tribes was inaugurated in the northern Iranian city of Gorgan in Golestan Province on Monday. Foreign ambassadors of Persian-speaking countries also took part in the opening ceremony where different Iranian tribes are displaying their varieties of art, the Golestan Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts department announced in a press release on Tuesday. A total of 250 pavilions have been set up at the Gorgan Permanent Fairground where a variety of traditional handicrafts and tourist attractions of 20 Iranian provinces are on display. Over 170 artisans from Iran and several other countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Algeria are participating this year, while foreign countries are also displaying their products on the side lines of the festival. Traditional bands coming from different provinces will give performances playing their exotic, regional music during the event. The festival will continue until Thursday.
