Dar Al Ber reaches out Gazans with Dh2.1m aid

Dubai (WAM): The Dar Al Ber Society, in pursuance of the directives of the U.A.E. prudent leadership, has continued its humanitarian activities and reached out the people of Gaza Strip with more urgent relief caravans. Acting upon the instructions of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the association has so far mobilised over ten urgent relief caravans, worth Dh 2,100,000. The gesture, organised by the Emirates Red Crescent, is in solidarity with the Palestinians who live in the dire humanitarian conditions amid aggression of the Israeli forces. The caravans, including 600 batches each, consist of basic foodstuff and groceries, such as oil, rice, sugar, flour, milk, let alone other refugee items, spanning blankets, bed sheets, clothes, medical aids, cooking utensils, and tents for the hit and displaced families in Gaza. These are distributed in collaboration with the Scientific Complex Society in Gaza, and the Scientific Centre Society in Ramallah, which are accredited for the distribution of relief aids by the U.A.E. authorities. Meanwhile, the Dubai-Government Dar Al Ber Society has continued its humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, Jerusalem, and Palestine all the year round, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan and Hajj season, in association with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai. The Dar Al Ber Society accepts donation for its urgent charitable, humanitarian, and relief campaigns at its main headquarters on the Sheikh Zayed road, and all branches at the Ibrahim Al Khalil mosque in Bur Dubai, and the Ber Quran study centre for women at Nad Al Hamar, as well as the Jumeirah and Al Musa centres in Jumeirah. Contribution may also be delivered to the Women Affairs Department at Barsha area, along with the Dar Al Ber Society branches in RAK and Ajman, apart from staff representatives, shopping centres, and via the ‘Heavens Gates’ live radio program being broadcast every Friday on the Noor Dubai Station under the sponsorship of Dar Al Ber Society. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/general/1395268713615.html
