Date of 5th News Agencies World Congress defined

The 5th News Agencies World Congress will be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on November 16-17, 2016. The decision was made at the 3rd meeting of the News Agencies World Council (NACO) in Baku early March. The meeting was attended by heads of SPA, Press Association, AZERTAC, Associated Press, Reuters, EFE, TASS, TELAM news agencies, and senior management of news alliances, including EANA, OANA and FANA. To be hosted by AZERTAC, the 5th Congress will bring together leading news agencies from around the world. The meeting will see AZERTAC take over the chairmanship of the News Agencies World Congress for 2016-2019. The Baku gathering of NACO also agreed that 5th Congress will coincide with the 16th OANA General Assembly, which will take place on November 18, 2016. AZERTAC will chair OANA in 2016-2019.
