DEA Workshop on Cyber Investigation Opens

Doha, March 29 (QNA) - A training workshop on 'Cyber Investigation' opened here Sunday at the CID Training Centre. The Ministry of Interior's (MoI) Drugs Enforcement Administration (DEA) is organising the workshop in association with United States Drug Enforcement Administration's Dubai Office, MoI said today. DEA International Affairs and Studies Head Captain Muhammad Abdullah Al Khater said the workshop deals with new developments and cybercrimes. New threats require access to latest means to track down perpetrators of cyber-crimes and bring to justice. The workshop covers theoretical study of traditional methods of investigation, interrogation skill, surveillance, and operational plans. It also explains internet protocols and use of telecommunications and media like Whatsapp and Instagram, as well as a practical approach of the discussed topics, MoI said.
