Defence Minister leads Bahrain delegation to key GCC meeting

Doha, Nov. 24 (BNA): Defence Minister Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed bin Hussain Al Jalahma led Bahrain’s delegation to the 14th meeting of the GCC Defence Ministers Council which concluded in Doha today. Discussions focused on ways of boosting military cooperation between the GCC countries. The Defence Minister lauded the outcome of the meeting which shows that the GCC countries are on the right towards achieving regional security and stability. He said that the GCC Defence Ministers agreed many recommendations which will boost the effectiveness of military coordination between the GCC countries in order to overcome challenges. The Defence Minister returned to Bahrain today. He was accompanied by Commander of the Royal Bahrain Air Force Major General Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force Commodore Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Brigadier Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala and senior BDF officers.
