Dengue fever patients double in Buri Ram

BURI RAM, Aug 8 (TNA) – The number of dengue fever patients has doubled in Buri Ram, compared to the same period last year, said a senior public health official. Head of the Buri Ram Provincial Public Health Office, Dr Withit Saritsadeechaikul warned local people about the dengue fever outbreak in the rainy season after the figure showed the dengue infections has risen to 451 cases in the province. Students are the majority group of the patients and the number tends to rise. He ordered health volunteers to drop Abate Sand Granules in stagnant water to eliminating mosquito larvae. Local residents are advised to overturn water holding containers to get rid of mosquito breeding sites. Patients with high fever, rash and chills should see the doctor for diagnosis immediately.
