Deputy FM calls on Portugal to play more active role in Iran-Europe ties

Tehran, Dec 7, IRNA- Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi on Monday expressed the hope that Portugal would play an active role in diplomatic relations between Iran and Europe. Araghchi made the remarks in a meeting with the new Portuguese Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran Carlos Antonio Rico Da Costa Nos today. During the meeting, Araghchi described the mutual ties as friendly. Portuguese envoy, for his part, voiced his country's readiness for further reinforcing bilateral relations.
