Deputy FM: High turnout in NAM showed West’s failure to isolate Iran

Bushehr, Oct 1, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said that the attendance of world leaders in the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit held in August in Tehran is the most important reason for West’s failure to isolate the IR Iran. Commenting on a recent move by the Zionist regime’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu by using a diagram to show Iran’s nuclear activities, the diplomat said that Netanyahu ridiculed himself before the international community at the 67th annual summit of the UN General Assembly in New York. “According to studies, only between three to five percent of Iranians residing abroad are members of opposition groups and more than 95 percent of them do not have any motive to undermine Islamic Revolution’s values,” Qashqavi added. Asked about the abducted Iranian nationals in Libya, the diplomat said that the Libyan government in accordance with 1963 Legal-Consular Conventions of 1963 is responsible for freedom of Iranians held kidnapped in Libya.
