Deputy Minister of Communications Honors the Winners of Technology Foresight Center Research Award, at LEAP22 Conference

Riyadh, February 06, 2022, SPA -- The Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Haitham Al-Ohali, honored , the winners of the Ministry’s Research Technology Foresight Center award, on the sidelines of the LEAP22 International Technical Conference, which include Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharif, Dr. Nashwa Mohammad, and Bayan Al-Mutawa, in addition to honoring Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muslim, Dr. Ahmed Al-Darwish, Dr. Nayef. Al-Saadoun, Dr. Sarah Bashel, and Dr. Basil Al-Omair from the jury, in the presence of the Director-General of the Technology Foresight Center, Dania Arkobi. The center identified three topics for the competition in which the researchers submitted three participation including technology and economics, modern technologies, technology, and sustainable development. The center aims through the competition to stimulate specialized research and studies activities in the aforementioned fields, in addition to raising awareness of modern and future technologies, encouraging the relevant enrichment of knowledge, and analyzing the expected effects. It also sought to shed light on the technical and economic fields, especially concerning modern technologies and the digital economy, and to analyze the economic and social effects of the most prominent developments in that aspect, in a way that supports decision-makers and achieves the Kingdom's Vision 2030. --SPA
