Deputy Premier receives ambassadors

Manama, Apr.18 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa received new UAE Ambassador Abdul Redha Al-Khoury and wished him success in assuming his diplomatic duties. He hailed strong bilateral relations bonding Bahrain and the UAE, stressing the keenness of the two countries' leaders on further bolstering joint ties and strengthening cooperation in all fields. He paid tribute to the UAE for its contribution to the Gulf Development Programme which aims at supporting infrastructure in Bahrain. He stressed the Government's drive to enhance Bahrainis' standard of living and meet their needs, particularly housing, health and education. The Deputy Premier hailed the UAE honourable stances in support of Bahrain, stressing strong fraternal relations ever since the two modern states were founded by late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan. He paid homage to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan for following in the same steps to strengthen bilateral relations and bolster cooperation further. The UAE Ambassador expressed his delight at the warm welcome and genuine hospitality he found in Bahrain, stressing firm resolve to continue sustained work to bolster bilateral relations in all fields. The Deputy Premier also met Tunisian Ambassador Mohammed Bin Youssef, who conveyed to him thanks and greetings from the Tunisian Presidency and Government for taking part on behalf of HM the King, in the international anti-terror march, which was called for by President Beji Caid Essebsi. He reiterated Bahrain's solidarity with Tunisia to protect its security and stability, stressing the Kingdom's strenuous efforts to combat the scourge of terrorism, extremism and fanaticism. He said that world leaders and representatives of countries rallied in a courageous stance in solidarity with Tunisia in rejection of terrorism following the cowardly heinous attack on Bardo Museum, which left dozens of innocent people dead. The envoy hailed Bahrain's stance in support of Tunisia' security and stability, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his keenness on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding joint ties. The Deputy Premier has also received new Algerian Ambassador Al-Sayeh Al-Qadri and wished him success in his diplomatic duties to further bolster bilateral relations in all fields. The Algerian diplomat hailed the warm welcome and hospitality he found in Bahrain, stressing his resolve to spare no effort to strengthen joint relations as part of the pan-Arab collective action and the Bahraini-Algerian High Joint Committee.
